Pre-Marital FAQ

• If we attend premarriage counseling at CityView does that mean we will get married by a CityView pastor?

Not necessarily. We suggest you find a pastor and a place to get married before setting your wedding date. If you are interested in getting married at CityView or by a CityView pastor, go to the Weddings section of our Web site where you can fill out a wedding facility request.

• What if my fiancé lives in another city and is in town only occasionally?

We may be able to work around your schedules. You and your assigned pastor will mutually decide the times you meet. Starting early will allow time for flexibility.

• The church/pastor we are using requires certification of completion. Will we be getting that?

If the pastor or church you're using requires some sort of certification, put them in contact with your counseling pastor.

• What happens if, as we go through our sessions, we realize our problems are bigger than the pastor is able to handle?

If the problems are either isolated to an individual or the mutual problems seem workable, we will probably refer you to the Center for Christian Counseling.
