Upon Review...Service times for the Summer

For the past two months, CityView has had two Sunday morning worship times.  This weekend, we are merging the two services into one for the summer months.

While this trial period was one of experimentation and learning (and necessary, due to a full room), we also came away with some encouragment during this time.

For one, we had a relatively painless transition, logistically.  There are kinks to be worked out, but we were able to demonstrate an ability to "stretch" ourselves to do something unfamiliar to many of our point leaders.

Second, there was growth.  During the past two years, we have had a slow decline in attendance after Easter and leading into the summer.  Not only did we NOT have a decline at all this year...but we actually grew past the early-spring average.

These are very encouraging signs that we can take our learnings from our spring-run at two services and make an even better attempt at rolling out two services down the road (in the busy fall season, possibly).

Thanks to all the CityView leadership and various teams that did a knock-out job making this happen over the past few weeks.  Let's enjoy the summer and see what God has in store for us as we start praying and planning for the fall.
