New Website Launch
It's not quite as "grand" as a grand opening of a new facility, but our new web site has been in the development stage for quite some time. In fact, we're still making some tweaks and edits over the weekend...so please excuse some of the odd formatting you might encounter as you explore the new site. Speaking of...why a new site anyway?
Well...a few considerations:
1. New technology: While not the end all, some new technologies/features make it easier for the end-user and those that update the content. We've integrated some features to make the user's experience an easier one.
2. One-stop goal for most-used content: While we were really proud of our original website for the first year or so, it became clear that much of our most-used content was buried in the site. We've tried to integrate as much of the most-used content onto one page...the front page. The tabs to the left on the main page along with the tabs on top allow us to keep all the main content on the front page without going any further. Of course, those exploring CityView and our web site can always go deeper...but suffice it to say, most users can visit the main page to get the most desired content.
3. Change in our physical location: Since we moved locations, we're in a natural stage of change. It only makes sense that our web site gets a face-lift equivalent to our physical changes. Not a real practical consideration...but the truth of the matter is that most of us move our furniture around from time to time because things just get stale.
4. Key people/talent: We are at a place in life that our church has the talent to pull this off. From Nick Ostermann's design to the massive behind the scenes work of Josh Lehman, Brad Pritchard and Justin Bassett, we had the people in our midst to accomplish this redesign at this time. Please thank each of them when you get a chance! They have done an amazing thing in getting the new site launched.
While it's not the most important thing in the world, we're proud of the new site and hope that it will be useful toward the purpose for which it exists...ultimately...to lead people to Jesus and His amazing Gospel of grace. To that end, we continue to tweak, edit and add new content...yes...for the Glory of God!
Also...let us know if you experience any "bugs" that need fixed! Email with any problems you might notice as you explore.
