Purpose and Vision

CITYVIEW PURPOSE (What we live for)

Our purpose is a simple statement that explains our reason for being in the most general of ways.  Essentially, this tells us what “business” we’re in:

We exist to reveal JESUS glorified, proclaim the GOSPEL and advance God’s MISSION*

CITYVIEW VISION (what we're called to)

A vision is a picture of a preferred future that details the part that we believe our church is supposed to play in God's larger mission.  Our vision attempts to merge community need, given opportunity and CityView's capabilities and/or potential.  As such, our vision is to...

• ...Bring belonging and family to the disconnected, disaffected and de-churched in our community.

• ...Challenge men to a better manhood--confronting evil, defending the weak & leading in home, vocation & culture.

• ...Bring the story of redemption to those that are hurting, despairing, addicted and dealing with troubles of all kinds.

• ...Empower parents to spiritually lead their children in the Gospel as we also seek ways to directly love and serve the kids themselves.

• ...Multiply by growing, commissioning and deploying leaders and preachers and by partnering in the starting of new churches

• ...Serve the good of our city and partner with community groups and institutions that are in need of our influence

• ...Partner with specific ministries and ministers that are willing to take the Gospel to cities and nations that are in great need.
